Officer Hoffman proceeds to the area, driving Vallejo Police Department unit 130, following unit 119.

Unit 119 makes a U-turn on Columbus Parkway and stops a late model "Grey Cad." that was heading towards Vallejo on Columbus Parkway. As the driver of the "Grey Cad." exits the vehicle, Offer Hoffman recognizes him as Andy (redacted) Jr., 19 yo WMA, residing at 22 (redacted) Ct. Vallejo.

Officer Hoffman continues on to the parking lot of Blue Rock Springs Park. He observes that his is the first "Police vehicle" to arrive at this location.

Officer Hoffman observes the vehicle mentioned in the police broadcast, a brown Corvair, located in the Southern corner of the parking, east of Columbus Parkway, belonging to the victims of the shooting.

Officer Hoffman first observes a WMA (later identified as Michael Renault Mageau, 19 yrs., DOB 10.29.49, 864 Beechwood, Vlo.), lying on his back, at the right rear of the car. He tells Officer Hoffman that he has been shot but cannot give additional information. Hoffman observes that he has been shot multiple times, is bleeding profusely from his mouth and has a gunshot wound to the lower left leg.

Officer Hoffman then observes, through the front right window of the car, a WFA (later identified as Darlene Elizabeth Ferrin, 22 yrs. DOB 3-17-47, residing at 930 Montery (sic), Vlo.), in a sitting position behind the steering wheel of the car, her head resting on the inside of the left door, at window level. He notes three bullet holes - two in her upper right arm and one in her right side a few inches below her arm pit.

Hoffman then states he then went to the left side of the car to view the WFA through the open left front window. Hoffman states he did not see additional bullet wounds but did see a large amount of blood spattered about the car.

Sargent Conway arrives on the scene.

Officer Hoffman advises Sargent Conway that there has been a shooting and that Conway should proceed to where Unit 119 is to detain Andy (redacted) Jr. for further investigation.

Officer D. Clark arrives on scene and he and Hoffman attempt to provide aid to the victims until the ambulance arrives.

Officer Hoffman searches the area of the parking lot in which the victim's vehicle was standing. Discovers (7) seven empty 9mm shell casings, a few feet away from the car on the right side.

12:38 am (approx.) - Officer Hoffman, riding along in the "Solano ambulance" with Darlene Ferrin, arrives at Kaiser Hospital. Hoffman states that neither of the victims spoke during the ride to the hospital. Upon arrival, Darlene was attended to by a Dr. Bor--(incomplete name visible in police report) and is pronounced dead on arrival.

Mageau is attended to by Dr. Jantzen for multiple gunshot wounds and transferred to the Intensive Care Unit in critical condition. While he is being treated for his wounds, Mageau is able to make a statement regarding what happened:
