RO then asked a series of qestion & was told by Mageau the resp. was a wht male, young and heavy set by himself & that he was in a brown veh. RO then asked if the resp. said anythig & Mageay replied "no, he just started shooting & kept shooting. Questioning continued until arrival of ambulance at which time both veh. were placced in ambulance and removed from the scene. By this time Sgt's Rust, Lynch & Odiorne had arrived at the scene & RO gave them the information obtained from the victim & gave a description over the air to all units. It was at this time it was determined that Sgt's Lynch and Rust would be the investigating officers & the investigation was turned over to them.

RO then left the scene upon being advised by radio that the possible resp. had called the station from a pay phone at the corner of Tuolumne & Springs Rd. RO proceeded to that location to cover the detailed unit 122, Off's Agenbreed & Pe (illegible). Upon arriving at the that location it was determined resp. was not at that location & the detailed off's were instructed to stand by until an I.D. technician could get there to check for prints.
