430am 7-5-69 Sgt. RUST

RO check files for names of victims, nothing pertinent to investigation at this time. Found one report on Michael MAGEAU where he had been arrested for petty theft at the Purity Store on Springs Rd on 9-6-68, was booked for 484 PC, misd. Michael had given the alias William James JANSSEN, then his real ID discovered, address given at this time was 1214 Oakwood, Apt. 12. 5x8 #214 080. Nothing in files on alias.

9am Robert MAGEAU, WM-43, 864 Beechwood, father of victim Michael, to VPD. RO and Sgt. ODIORNE interviewed him after informing him of the incident. Robert could give no reason for shooting. Stated Darlene called the house quite often and had called several times on Friday asking for Michael. Unknown if she ever got hold of him until whenever it was they got together before shooting. Robert stated he had stayed the nite at Kentwig Motel and has no idea how Michael and Darlene got together. Robert stated he is divorced and his wife lives in Los Angeles, also his son Steve, Mchael's identical twin, has been living with the mother in L.A. for about 4-4 weeks. Robert will contact them and notify of the shooting. Robert very upset at this time and stated he was going to the hospital. Will contact the VPD later and will try to obtain any info that may help.

930am ID tech. John SPARKS checking withvic FERRIN veh which is in the VPD basement garage, for fingerprints and other evidence. Will also develop all photos taken up to this point ASAP. (Rust)
