Officer Meyring - Police Report - Blue Rocks Springs Shooting

CASE NO 243146

Officers report receiving a call from KMA 818 at 12:10am, 7/5/69, of two persons shot at in the Blue Rocks Springs area. Upon arrival at Blue Springs golf course club house, RO observed a veh, traveling south on Columbus Park Way at approx.. 20 mph. As RO made a U-turn at same location, veh. stopped and backed up to parking area, westside of roadway. As officers approached veh, 1963 Cad., 4dr ht., Blk/grey, Lic. CXB 890, a white male. emerged from behind the wheel and approached officers. RO asked sub. for ID. Same ID as ANDREW Y. (REDACTED) JR., 19yrs, DOB 2/4/50 22 (REDACTED) Ct.

As sub was removing his ID, same stated, "Is this about that guy laying down back there".

RO was then contacted by Sgt. Conway, enroute to scene, and advised by RO that the victims were apparently in the parking lot area, of Blue Rocks Springs. 

RO was then contacted a few min. later by Sgt. Conway at location of car stop to place a hold on subjects for investigation of a felony. Sgt. Conway also instructed RO to search veh. Same searched veh. for possible weapons with neg. results. 

Also in vehicle with (REDACTED) was a WF ID as BETTY (REDACTED), 19 yrs, DOB 1/25/50, 721 (REDACTED) St.

Both subjects were then taken to VPD after being placed under arrest for investigation of a felony, and turned over to Sgt. Odiorne.

Subject (REDACTED) veh was impounded and taken to VPD by Bob's tow service.
